2. Cutter Suction Dredger Introduction:
1. Cutter suction dredger is a kind of dredging equipment used for
riverbed dredging, port dredging or canal construction projects.
2. The equipment adopts a front cutter head design, driven by a
motor, which mixes sand and water.
3. There is a suction pipe behind the cutter head connected with
the mud pump on the deck.
4. The marine diesel engine drives the mud pump to transport the
mud-water mixture to the shore or recovery area.
5. In order to keep the dredger stable and working in the water, a
pile made of two long steel pipes is vertically installed at the
tail of the dredger. The stakes work like two legs and are rooted
in the river bed driven by hydraulic cylinders. It can provide the
supporting force when the front cutter head swinging arm is
working.
